Some Kingdom vibes, but totally chill. I found the game very enjoyable, I wish there was a way to save and exit. I did an almost 4-hour run and got to the penultimate upgrade. Wishlisted, HARD.

Getting pickaxe is TOO RARE

It is a good game, but it would help to have tooltips for what I should do in the 1.0 release. I also caused the game to crash by building too many fires lol
Damn it, looks like the game lacks an autosave...

Edit: okay, um, this crash is way too frequent. The game crashed with the same exception as I was trying to chop a tree down https://imgur.com/BeDL8ea

looking forward to the full game! the little guys are so cute i love watchin em amble around. i wish this version had a save feature but i'm sure that's coming in the 1.0. happy building!

That game is really really cool! Infortunately I left the game running for a while, hoping to getting back to it afterward but my mouse was a bit too low so I completly lost the center of the map :( So I will wait for the final game!

Fire Crashes Game

Game Crash's every time I start a fire. and I don't just mean that the game closes, I mean it turns off my computer and resets it. However, The game looks pretty good, I haven't seen all of the game because of the fire crash, but it looks good!

i can't play everytime i set the fire on the start of the game it crash

The smooth animations remind me of rainworld

It's 2 am right now, I finally beat this game and I hate it with every inch of my body

Ima play this later brb

finally beat the game after like 4 hours!!

having an issue where no matter what, only five woods go to the fireplace.

NEVERMIND the other three are stone

How did you do that lighting?

My game keeps crashing. I mean, I just wanna build a sun but it just crashes. :(

super cool game. what is this game engine?

(1 edit)

I could be wrong, but I believe they build their games in their own engine, Sugar https://trasevol-dog.itch.io/sugar which hasn't been publicly released yet

built two suns, is that anything?

i build a too much farmers and now i cant do anything

that’s not the sun?! image.png

yep...

how… many more times did i have to upgrade?

really great and addictive game , but please add saving the game and getting the rock for pickaxe has very low chance and takes a lot of time.

um... what is this thing?

ERR [string "code/game.lua"]:501: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'xa' (a nil value)

the camera probably zoomed in or out too much, you’re bound to get some bugs in a game made in 72 hours :P

YOU CAN ZOOM OUT??!?!

not that far, but yes

(+2)

pls add saving

(+1)

i rlly liked this game :D please add a menu or a way of saving the game ;c

(-1)

Yeah I liked to but I would like to continue when I am stopping it:)

I must say a thoroughly addicting game, I mean I spend 4 hours playing it. Fantastic.

If I have one critique it would be that I would have liked it if there was a counter in the corner to show a count of how many of one item you have.

This is less of criticism and more of a suggestion, getting the rock to drop the stone for the pickax seems to have a very VERY low chance. I feel like I spent 45 more minutes necessary just hunting down rocks.

I got a crash that i think occurred while i was holding click on a tree immediately after assigning my little guys to another tree near to it. How can i send you the full crash log?

(1 edit)

Yes I got that same error.

Here's the log. Somebody farther down the chats claims to have fixed it but didn't say how. Ugh, Answer is right above download section. Hold down click for first fireplace.

(1 edit)

i got that error but insead of the tree, i go'ed to the wood piece where u start the game, when i clicked it, it crashed and that showed

Excelente 💗💞💗

"No compatible downloads found". Is the Windows download Windows 11 only?

No.

Still no compatible downloads found.

Congratulations! I really enjoyed playing. It's a shame you can't save the game and continue expanding your settlement.

4 things would be great: Firstly a tutorial, and maybe an explanation manual or I am stuck manual. Second would be a menu to play game, save your save files. The third thing would be ideal - settings. It would be cool if the frames to upgrade the campfire could show what characters show, if you are missing them, they pulse red. The last and fourth thing is maybe in the full game - npcs. That's all

It would be nice to be able to save progress. These runs take a while, and I have other things to do. Also, this game is a little frustrating to figure out. Once I figured out the core loop, it became more fun.

PLEASE HELP ME

I losted my home, how can I find it ? Im in darkness since too long

Game instantly crashed lol

This makes me think of Patapon...

(Edit): it didnt happen when i installed it first, but when i uninstalled it reinstalled it, that appeared!

Very fun! Would love to see some of the fixes listed here, but I imagine those will be done with the steam release. Some extra stuff–like 1-2 new resources or biomes–could be a nice way to flesh out the final game, but simplicity is key! A way to send workers to resources could also reduce wait times and add a little multitasking. But again, simplicity is key. Apart from that, it might be nice to have a minimap to how things have scaled. Overall, it’s really fun and everything scales quite nicely. Looking forward to the steam release :D

I immediately crashed the game accidentally, what I did was start the game, follow the arrow and while auto scrolling to the fire I was holding down click, it clicked the fire and before the little dude could jump my mouse moved off the fire, the little dude jumped then the screen went black, I tabbed out of the game and saw an error message. hope this helps

I have succeeded, so what do I win?

one change I would make is when your trying to build/destroy something it prevents items that sootlings are carrying from being destroyed, cause I destroyed a couple pickaxes from doing that accidentally.

HOW?! i got stuck after getting that dude with a hat when making the rectangle fireplace. i thought it might be used to mine that big rock, but that doesn’t work

for a game made In just 72 hours It's very well made. I love the simple yet relaxing progression towards making the fires grow bigger and stronger, as well as seeing just how far your colony has grown. however I have some issues involving game play. 1) you can't save. while not a big deal for a gamejam game made In 72 hours It's still a problem, especially with crashes happening at times

2) you can make the blobs drop things. this alone Isn't a big deal (though It's a waste of both the resources and blobs to do so) the problem Is the way you do It Is the same as doing anything else (holding left mouse) and with everything but the fire blobs and blobs crafting stuff being droppable It often leads to Important resources being dropped by accident while commanding something to be done (the windmill being a prime example)

3) there's no info on anything. whether it be what a house, a farmer, or anything you build actually does. how many resources you have or where you get them. or even If you can actually build something or If a blob Is just being slow. the game just doesn't tell you and It can dampen the fun.

4) The blobs are really slow and prone to getting stuck. It's not too problematic If they're nearby but If blobs from another fire nest Is called then a LOT of time Is wasted just trying to get wood and It's worse If many blobs are needed or If a wall of trees are between them.

Regardless, the game was joy to play despite my issues and I look forward to the steam release. 7/10
